Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 140 g of sugar
- 100 ml of oil
- 150 ml of milk
- 160 g of ground poppy seeds
- 150 g of flour (type 400)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2-3 tablespoons of oil
- 100 g of chocolate
- 200-300g of Friglo cherries
Preparation:
- 1. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until the mixture becomes light, foamy and airy.
- 2. Then add the oil and milk, then mix to combine all the ingredients.
- 3. Gradually add flour mixed with baking powder and then add poppy seeds.
- 4. Combine everything with a mixer, until you get a uniform mixture without lumps.
- 5. Pour the prepared mixture into a 30x20 cm pan, lined with baking paper, and spread it evenly.
- 6. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180C for about 30 minutes. Before the end of baking, check with a toothpick whether it is ready - if it comes out dry, the cake is baked.
- 7. While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by melting the chocolate and oil over steam or low heat, until you get a smooth and shiny mixture.
- 8. Pour the warm glaze over the baked cake while it's still hot, then let it cool completely so that the glaze hardens nicely.
- 9. Cut the cooled cake into cubes and serve with Friglo cherries.
